SAVE THE SPECIES CAMPAIGNS

In 2020, the IPS launched its annual Save the Species campaign to raise awareness and funding for targeted palm conservation projects around the world.  Campaigns are announced annually in December.

In 2024 the International Palm Society, in partnership with Institut Agronomique néo-Calédonien (IAC), and the “Table Unio” tribe of the Bourail commune launched a Campaign to protect Basselinia vestita, a rare and under-researched palm species native to New Caledonia.

UPDATES ON RAVENEA MOOREI - 2022 SAVE THE SPECIES

"The work portrayed in the film was substantially supported by the Save the Species fundraiser and really goes to show the impact that IPS can have.  I just want to offer my profound thanks to everybody who plays a part in making Save the Species happen – organising, communicating, giving."
